www.sportsbook.com? Is this a legitimate gambling website? Also, what are the positives and negatives of using this site? Thanks

Niki S replied: "Sportsbook is not good, they are slow with the payments. I suggest you to go to and read the review of BF, its one of the best, reliable and clean sportsbetting company. Also you will bet with the best odds on the web."

Potsie replied: "Slowpaying is the least of your worries with Sportsbook.com They have been repeatedly documented as actually stealing money from their clients by creating false betting histories and creating losses that were never wagered on by the client! They have reversed winning wagers AFTER the game has been played and they have confiscated thousands of dollars from several clients citing bogus rules! Stay clear of those scammers. Also beware as there are dozens of sportsbooks that are managed by the Sportsbook.com group. The only positive of using sportsbook.com is a nice looking website, that's it! You would be far better served by any number of sportsbooks recommended by a GPWA approved gaming portal such as Go their and check out the independent reviews and pick the site that best suits your style and your needs. All of the recommended sites offer great customer service, security, and fast/free payouts. You'll also find a free sports picks section where you can read other visitor's locks of the day and post your own picks as well!"

Lawrence B replied: "They are awful. They dont pay and sometimes will cancel a bet after the game was played. STEER clear. Try Betjamaica.com, Bodog.com or theGreek.com. All decent places with reliable payouts."

What is the minimum bet on an NFL pointspread at www.sportsbook.com? I am interested in starting up an account here to start betting on some NFL games to make them a little more interesting. However, I have no intention of making large wagers, what is the minimum bet at this site? Thanks.

Potsie replied: "Sportsbook.com is a ripoff in a hundred different ways, but the most important way is the 4 month wait for payouts if you are lucky enough to have them approve your payout. If you are just looking to bet a few dollars and want to use a safe and reliable site that won't look for an angle to confiscate your funds, but will payout quickly and without any fees then you need to check out betED offers easy credit card processing, eCheck deposits, $1 minimum wagers and fast free payouts. Get a complete review of their site and bonus structure at Free picks, bonus information, betting tips, independent reviews and much more. UPDATE... What Luis doesn't know is that sportsbetting.com (the site that his link directs you to) is ran by SPORTSBOOK.COM!!! Here is what one of their players said last month about their shoddy service... "Player: I made two deposits on July 6th. They were never credited to my betting account but were deducted from my bank account. I have contacted CS multiple times using both email and phone and have gotten absolutely nowhere. They keep telling me 24-48 hours and they'll contact me. I never hear from them, then I call and they tell me the same load of crap again. I strongly advise any and everyone to pull their money from these guys. I wish I would have found your site before I made my deposits.""

Luis A. replied: "I agree with Potsie, sportsbook.com is not the place for you. Go to SPORTSBETTING.COM and play with them… honest folks that have been around for over 10 years and know their game + they have a $5 minimum bet which is very good. If you like to visit them just click on the link below... and if you need help just let me know"

sancho8297 replied: "Hey whats up, Ok here is what i know. I have friends with betting accounts with several different online sports books: - sportsbetting.com - bookmaker.com - bodoglife.com - oddsmaker.com All of them except bodog have a minimum bet of $5. Bodog's minimum bet is $1. No one I know has ever had a problem moving money in or out of any of them. I have seen people dissing sportsbook.com and bodoglife.com on other yahoo questions similar to this, so I did some research, and from what I could find out from searching around on google the only problem people had taking out money was with the third party bank they were using taking a long time, not the online sports book they had made their bets on. I do know that bodoglife.com and sportsbetting.com are not taking money line bets right now, which I do think is a little odd. Maybe that hints at some problems they are having, but again nobody i know has had an issue moving money in or out. Personally I think bookmaker.com is the best. Their interface looks great and gives a much more professional feel than the others. Plus they aren't holding back on the moneyline bets. Hope it helps. Good luck on the bets!"

sharp square replied: "I would say to do a little homework before you make your choice of which book to use. First off make sure you use one of the more safe and reliable options available and i wouldnt use sportsbook.com. Check out they have some real detailed sports book reviews along with updated bonus info , make sure you maximize your deposit and get all you can out of it esp if your looking to play small. There will be low minimum bets at a majority of books available so be sure to make sure yall get paid and a book that fits your better style more of a priority. Also take a look at sharp square sports they are now offering a chance to win a free $50 sportsbook account no deposit needed , maybe yall have a little luck and get some free cash to start off with."

GamblingMaster replied: "Like people said sportsbook is a rip off. I suggest you to open an account at intertops, which you can find complete review of at Its USA welcome site."

no.1cards replied: "$5"

Madison M replied: "http://www.centsports.com/?opcode=231152 Dude, they give you $0.10 (10 cents) to start out with and you bet on sports games (NFL NBA MLB NCAA ect.) and can get up to like $1,000 (that's the highest I've seen) and you can cash-out and they'll send you a check in the mail!!! You don't even have to give them your credit card number!!! And it's 110% legal!!! The site is payed for by advertisements! You have nothing to lose and it's fun!!!"
