Older husband on Viagra: can we still get pregnant? My husband is 52 and I am 24. We have been together for three years and would very much like to start a family. The other day I discovered a bottle of Viagra in his truck and he never told me that he was taking it or was even considering it. I think perhaps he was/is embarrassed to share that with me since I am so much younger than him. In any event, I am concerned because we have been trying to get pregnant for 3 months now with no success. Since I do not know how long he has been on Viagra, could it be the Viagra that is impairing our ability to conceive? I had an ectopic pregnancy six months ago, so I know that I am fertile. Thank you.

Erika G replied: "Viagra won't impair his ability to impregnate you, but, as men age, they have fewer healthy sperm, and so, it may be harder to get pregnant."

Ladies: Would you be upset if you discovered you husband or bf was taking Viagra and didn't tell you? My best friend just found out her hubby was taking viagra and he never talked about it with her. She was kind of offended but I told her maybe it wasn't something he felt comfortable talking about. I said she should be happy he was trying to "fix a problem".
